Mr Hayes, Head of Sixth Form

Sam Hayes smIt is with great enthusiasm and pride that I introduce myself as the new Head of Sixth Form at Harris Academy Falconwood. Our academy mantra is ‘Knowledge is Power, We make it Stick,’ and this sits at the heart of everything we do in the Sixth Form. Our students are taught by brilliant subject experts in their discipline who are committed to providing an exceptional academic journey that will enable all students to reach their full potential and reach ambitious destinations.

Our Sixth Form offers an outstanding scholarly environment with state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated pastoral support to ensure each student can thrive not only academically, but socially and emotionally. Whether your goals are to pursue higher education, embark on a professional career, or explore new passions, we are here to support and guide you every step of the way.

Our experienced and passionate teachers have planned a curriculum that goes beyond the expected to deliver a first-class education for all. Lessons are designed to be academically challenging to stretch and inspire the brilliant young minds of our Sixth Form students.

Beyond academics, our Sixth Form is a vibrant community where students celebrate diversity and embrace a culture of inclusivity. There are multiple opportunities to develop leadership skills, engage with enrichment activities, and take part in career enhancing personal development initiatives. As the new Head of Sixth Form, my goal is to ensure that each student feels valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their dreams. I am committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student can flourish.
